I'm excited to be able to announce that my work will feature on the programme cover for this year's Buxton Festival Fringe. The work is a representation of the Fringe's famous 'juggler' and will be out at the beginning of June 2016.

I'm delighted to have exhibited in the Venice Vending Machine Edition III - part of the Venice Biennial. The piece I made - The Black Heart - is part of the exhibition in which a small piece of work is be encapsulated within a 100mm sphere. The Black Heart reflects how we first use and destroy the planet’s resources with no thought for the consequences. It is a natural, organic material, with an almost coal-like appearance reflecting the natural resources of the earth. These have both powered consumerism while destroying the ‘heart’ of the earth. It is representative of what may remain of the earth’s soul; a shrunken, black heart. Helen Mint will be participating in the first ever Buxton Spring Fair this Bank Holiday Monday. Pop along to see plenty of artists, performers and stalls and watch the whole town come to life! Helen will be around the Market Place/Town Hall with Lucy Brockman, and The Green Man Gallery will also have it's own presence. Hope to see you there! For more information, click here. Helen Mint will be running a series of Workshops during the Easter Holidays for children aged 8-14 at The Green Man Gallery. Helen Mint is delighted to announce that she is a member of the collective behind the brand new Green Man Gallery in Buxton. It's a huge mix of local artists and craftsmen and provides an exhibition and studio space. There are also plans to use some of the gallery space for visiting artists and local art groups, as well as to hold workshops. The preview evening is this Friday at 7pm. The gallery is at 55 High Street, Buxton, SK17 6HB. All are welcome. The gallery is due to open properly in early-mid December. Helen's work will be part of a permanent display, and all of the work is available to buy. It's a very exciting new direction for Helen, and she is delighted to have been asked to join the group. Alongside her work as the Secretary of the Buxton Art Trail, it will allow Helen to firmly establish herself as a member of the Buxton art community with the aim of helping to engage with the local public as well as visitors from outside Derbyshire. We hope you can make it to the Gallery in the future. You can visit the website (which is still under construction at the time of writing) at www.thegreenmangallery.com. Alternatively, the Facebook page is available here: http://www.facebook.com/TheGreenManGallery. I'm delighted to announce my participation in the New Mills Arts Trail.
