Helen Mint is delighted to announce that she is a member of the collective behind the brand new Green Man Gallery in Buxton. It's a huge mix of local artists and craftsmen and provides an exhibition and studio space. There are also plans to use some of the gallery space for visiting artists and local art groups, as well as to hold workshops. The preview evening is this Friday at 7pm. The gallery is at 55 High Street, Buxton, SK17 6HB. All are welcome. The gallery is due to open properly in early-mid December. Helen's work will be part of a permanent display, and all of the work is available to buy. It's a very exciting new direction for Helen, and she is delighted to have been asked to join the group. Alongside her work as the Secretary of the Buxton Art Trail, it will allow Helen to firmly establish herself as a member of the Buxton art community with the aim of helping to engage with the local public as well as visitors from outside Derbyshire. We hope you can make it to the Gallery in the future. You can visit the website (which is still under construction at the time of writing) at www.thegreenmangallery.com. Alternatively, the Facebook page is available here: http://www.facebook.com/TheGreenManGallery.
